Gary Jones

Gary Alan Jones “Jonesy” was born February 24, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Sam and Rosalie (Brown) Jones.

Gary attended East High School  in Wichita and graduated in 1964. In 1963-1964 he worked for the Ross’ who owned the Pump House.  He restored many gas pumps, one of which is still in the back of the bar. Gary served in the Army from August 1964 to 1971.  Following his discharge from the Army, he worked almost 30 years in the aircraft industry.

He was an original member of the Mulvane Patriot Guard, traveling to many funerals and protests against Fred Phelps.  He loved boats, water skiing and snow skiing. He was a true biker man and always had a bike, including an Indian his father bought him. Gary made many trips to Sturgis, riding his bike all the way. He always helped with the toys runs as well.

In October of 2011, Gary met Deb (Futhey) Ludwig and together they spent his remaining years together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marlene Hamm and his brother in law Wayne Hamm.

Gary is survived by his lady Debbie Ludwig, two daughters, Kristi Jones and Kimberly Jones; four grandchildren: Korinne Perkins, Ryan Tennant, Evan Tennant, Nick Collins and his wife Samantha; nieces and nephews and many friends including his extended family he loved to spend time with the Futhey Family, Milton, Rex, Amy, Hank, Allie and Sam.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Caldwell City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Rivercross Hospice or to the Kansas Humane Society – Wichita and sent in care of the mortuary.



He will be missed.  Very good friend to us and we loved him so!

Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rip Gary. I will always be thankful for our friendship.
