Carol Joan Fast Rader, 76, of Caldwell, retired Swaney Elementary School teacher, died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at her residence in Caldwell.
She was born the daughter of Rudolph and Emma (Neumann) Fast May 19, 1942 at Caldwell, Kansas.
Carol was united in marriage to Larry David Rader, July 1, 1962 at the Caldwell United Methodist Church. To this union two children were born, David and Lori.
Carol was a member of the PEO, United Methodist Women, Starlight Club and Assistant League of Oklahoma.
She enjoyed traveling and playing golf. Carol was a youth group leader, piano player and teacher, volunteered for the CES Reading Program and cheered for K-State. She also enjoyed attending her grandsons’ activities.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Emma Fast; sister, Betty Janzen; brothers Chester Fast and Rudy Jo Fast.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; son, David of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Lori Barnes and her husband Woody of Caldwell, Kansas; grandson’s, Daniel and Will Barnes of Caldwell; brothers, Lee Fast of Mulvane, Randy Fast of Carrolton, Texas; sisters Norma White and Karen Sturm both of Caldwell, Kansas.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the United Methodist Church, Caldwell. Interment will be in the Caldwell City Cemetery, Caldwell, Kansas.
Memorials may be given in memory of Carol to the Good Shepherd Hospice or to Swaney PTS c/o Carol Rader Memorial Fund and left in care of the mortuary.
