Dean Albert

April 4, 1934 ~ October 23, 2020

Bradford Dean Albert was born April 4, 1934 in rural Caldwell, KS to Joe C. and Mildred (Kozak) Albert.

He married Peggy Prouse on July 26, 1954 and to this union were born two children:  Larry Dean and Brenda Mae.

Dean worked for Walt Norton Chevrolet while in Caldwell and was also on the Caldwell police force.

Following his divorce, Dean moved to Edmond, OK and worked as a mechanic at Craig’s Chevrolet until retiring.  After retiring, he moved back to Caldwell and farmed west of town.

Gary Ginn

Gary Orville Ginn, first born child of Orville and Bess (Crumbliss) Ginn went to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 25, following a battle with cancer. He was born during a blizzard on February 20, 1938, in Wellington, Kansas. Joining the family group later were siblings, Carolyn Ann and David Wendell and they all made their home in the Corbin area.

Bonnie Skrdla

February 28, 1929 ~ October 19, 2020

Bonnie was born February 28, 1929 southwest of Caldwell, KS in Grant County, Oklahoma at the home of her parents, Lennie and Mildred McAdams Oathout. She passed away October 19, 2020 at the Wakita Community Care Home, Wakita, Oklahoma, where she chose to make her home the last several years of her life at the age of 91. She lived in Grant County entire her life. She was a CHS graduate and loved attending her class events and Homecoming.

Alvin R. Johnston

June 3, 1932 ~ October 15, 2020

Alvin Ray Johnston was born at home on June 3rd, 1932 in Caldwell, Kansas to Joshua “Jack” and Alyce (Counsell) Johnston.  Arriving just minutes after his older, identical, twin brother, Melvin.  After a life well lived, he passed away with his family at his side on October 15, 2020 under hospice care at his youngest daughter Rachelle’s home in Wichita, Kansas.

John Poindexter

November 4, 1952 ~ October 5, 2020

John Franklin Poindexter 67, of Norwich KS passed away Monday morning, October 5, 2020, at St. Francis hospital in Wichita, KS. He was born on Election Day, November 4, 1952 shortly after his mother voted. John was the son of Franklin Louis and Florence Eilene (Melton) Poindexter/Dillman Ash. He married the love of his life Karen Jo Winzer on August 2nd, 1980.

Tom Gandy

Tom Gandy passed away on October 5, 2020 at the age of 80. He was born to Charles and Lily (Hawk) Gandy on June 9, 1940 in Caldwell, KS. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean (Eastham) Gandy; sons, Terry Gandy, of Wellington and Rick Gandy, of Wichita; 4 granddaughters; 1 grandson and 6 greatgrandchildren.
